To get ADSL you need to have a Telkom post-paid (non pre-paid) phone line installed.

I don't have a phone line. Where to now?

Simply call Telkom on 10219 to order a post-paid phone line. Unfortunately, as much as we'd like to, we cannot do this on your behalf.

My phone line is a pre-paid phone line. Can I get ADSL with this line?

Unfortunately not. Your Telkom phone line must be on a post-paid account, not pre-paid.
Call Telkom on 10219 to convert to post-paid.

Step 2: ADSL Check

We need to check that ADSL is available in your area. Enter your phone number in the box and click GO.

ADSL Line

You have a choice of three line speeds. The faster your line, the quicker you can download and surf, but the more expensive it is. If you're a new user then starting slow is the way to go. You can always upgrade to a faster line when you're ready to.

A router, like a modem, is a nifty gadget that connects your computer to your ADSL line. No router, no Internet!

We're offering you the choice of two types of ADSL routers:

WIRED ROUTER
Our wired router allows you to connect to the Internet from a fixed point in your home or office - ideal for desktop computers.

WIRELESS ROUTER
A wireless router gives you the freedom of connecting anywhere in your home or office (subject to the range of the wireless signal) - ideal for notebooks or desktops with a wireless adapter.
